Learn More
Founded by Shane Nelson, Kudu Valley Safaris operates from our main camp in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, situated amidst the Elephant’s food thicket, between the Sunday River Valley and the Cock’s Comb Mountains.
Since Nelson Family Trust acquired the farm in 2007, Shane Nelson developed a deep appreciation for the natural bush, hidden game trails, and the stories told by animal spoor. His commitment to conserving the natural habitats and ethical hunting traditions led him to complete a Game Management and Professional Hunting course in 2010. He began his career guiding hunts both on the family farm and for other outfitters, expanding his experience and knowledge.
As registered outfitters, we aim to share our respect and admiration for nature with our guests. We strive not only to fulfil your hunting aspirations but also to provide an authentic African experience, including camaraderie around the campfire and tracking spoor through the bush. We hope to leave you with lasting memories of African sunsets, star-filled nights, and the adventure of a lifetime.

Kudu Valley (main camp)
+- 1,5 hours’ drive from PE Airport
Kudu Valley Safaris operates from our main camp in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, situated between the Sunday River Valley and the Cock’s Comb Mountains. It is a semi-arid landscape, covered with stick-like shrubs and elephant bush (spekboom) there are small trees which provides some shade for animals. The farm was originally named “Koppies,” a reference to the rolling hills that dominates most of its landscape. The ground is very rocky with a red tint. Some grasses may grow after a rainy season.
We also have access to hunt in other areas ranging from the mountains of the Eastern Cape throughout South Africa and across our borders into Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
